Dear Ms. G,
The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism is conducting a basic course on investigative journalism which will run from August 4-7, 2008 in Iloilo City (venue to be confirmed later). The course intends to introduce journalists to the fundamentals of investigative reporting. Attached is a copy of the programme.
We are inviting you to be a participant to the said course. Please send in your reply on or before July 15 (Tuesday) to indicate whether you are accepting or declining our invitation. See the attached reply form.
The PCIJ will shoulder board and lodging and transportation to and from the venue of all participants. There is no registration or enrollment fee. Participants are however requested to make their own travel arrangements. Please keep tickets and receipts to facilitate reimbursement of your travel expenses.
We would also like you to think of possible investigative story projects along the themes of governance and human rights that you will be developing in the course of the training.
